Reiterer's Challenges for 2016
Tuesday, 19 April 2016
Nordic Champion, IJSBA European Champion, World Champion, King’s Cup Winner and for the third year in a row, winner of the “Racer of the Year” award by www.jetgp.com. The young Austrian has won everything there is to win. Last year he topped his successful career with winning every main title in the same year.
What was the greatest win? “I guess World Champion wasn’t too bad.” smiles the sports graduate. “Every race was amazing. Especially winning the King’s Cup after so many years of trying and bad luck… and then receiving the trophy from the Royal Highness Princess of Thailand herself makes you a bit nervous too.” explains the athlete. With only 23 years of age, Reiterer has made it to the top of the international motorsports elite.
The goal for this year is clear. “Of course, my main goal is to defend my title and win races. I will be starting into the season with a brand new ski, which has different demands on the team and myself. This is going to be an interesting and exciting year!”
In comparison to his competitors from South Africa, Australia, United States and Thailand, Kevin is traveling to other countries to prepare in warmer waters. But the cold waters in Austria are used as well for training, for trying to keep Austria on top of the world.
Two months remain until the first stop of the World Championship in Europe, Italy (June 11-12) and we are looking forward to see Kevin compete.
